Marketing & Operations Assistant NEEDED

 

[5 hours per week to start with, with the intention to scale up to full time in 4 - 6 months]

Busy business owner, board member and media contributor is looking for a Marketing & Operations Assistant.

I would love to find a detail-oriented assistant who loves social media, podcasting, organisation, enjoys customer service, as well as generally helping out with whatever is needed.

I need you to help me manage my calendar, social media and long form content, as well as customer logistics, and bring your own genius to this role. How can you help make my life easier, protect my time, and grow the Tech for Non-Techies audience?

To begin with, this position is for 5 hours per week, with the intention to scale up.

This position will also require flexibility including working some occasional evenings and weekends. We run several live events per year that may require your in-person assistance.

Sophia Matveeva is the CEO & founder of Tech For Non-Techies, an education and executive coaching company. Sophia has contributed to the Harvard Business Review, Financial Times, The Guardian and Forbes on entrepreneurship and technology, and hosts the top rated Tech for Non-Techies podcast.

As a non-technical founder, Sophia has co-created apps and algorithms that have been used by thousands, won App of the Day by Mashable, and were featured by Inc, the BBC and more.
 
She has also guest lectured at the University of Chicago, London Business School, and Oxford University, and led the Blackstone x Techstars accelerator at the University of Texas at El Paso.
 
Sophia is a start-up mentor at the Chicago Booth Polsky Center of Entrepreneurship, and has advised leading accelerators including Chicago Booth’s New Venture Challenge and the Microsoft x London College of Fashion incubator.

Sophia also sits on the Advisory Board of Riviter, a generative AI company.
 
She holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, and a BSc (Hons) in Politics from Bristol. She speaks English, Russian and French.

 

Responsibilities

Media:

  •  Cutting long form YouTube videos into shorts / reels for social media
  •  Contacting podcasters to pitch me as a guest
  •  Reviewing podcast guest pitches to Tech for Non-Techies
  •  Eventually, the aim is for you to own social media growth and make it contribute to the company’s revenue

Administrative:

  •  General Administrative Support and Executive Assistant
  •  Maintaining and updating the Tech for Non-Techies website using the Kajabi platform
  •  Managing my inbox including drafting and sending emails
  •  Managing business and personal tasks as needed. This will include supporting me in my board and advisory positions, as well as my primary role in running Tech for Non-Techies.
  •  Scheduling and calendar management, personal assistant and household tasks and errands, travel plans, gifts, correspondence and similar tasks.
  •  Meeting and event planning including reservations, travel plans, meals, entertainment, on-site logistics and anything else related to the company meeting, events, training sessions and retreats.
  • Use the following software tools: Canva, Kajabi, MeetUp, Eventbrite, Facebook for business, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Provide excellent customer service

 If you’re always punctual, have great attention to detail, are reliable, and a self-starter (plus can craft a great email), I’d love to talk to you!

If you have previously worked with Kajabi, this will be a big plus. But, it’s just a software tool that can be easily learnt, so please apply even if you’ve never heard of Kajabi!
