About the speaker
The National Geographic describes Dr James Lambert's career as “around communicating science, or helping other companies make sense of it.”
With a PhD in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol, Dr Lambert leads operations at Pulsar Fusion, a private nuclear energy company. The company's aim is to create an engine with enough thrust to propel a spacecraft through a vacuum at hitherto unachievable speeds.
Dr Lambert splits his time between working on Pulsar's nuclear reactor prototype and teaching physics and the basic concepts of space tech.
This session will be presented by Sophia Matveeva, tech entrepreneur & Chicago Booth MBA, whose work has been published in the Financial Times, The Guardian, Forbes and more.
This event is part of the Tech For Non-Techies series.

In January 2020 Sophia hosted a webinar for the UChicago alumni community titled "The Non-Technical Founder's Introduction to Tech."
She provided insights on how to effectively work in the tech business without having a tech background, touching on product management, front-end vs. back-end development, user experience design and testing, and analytics.
She was a wonderful presenter providing actionable and motivating tips for fellow UChicago alumni.
We loved working with Sophia!
